Current Song - Don't Walk Away (Jade)
I act like I'm in my 50s, but I'm only 22. Everyone I know that's in the 20's acts like they are in their 20s.
When Ging asked about why the boards were slow, I couldn't help but think of my actions as moderator. The board attracts people over 30, and those under 30 are heistant to post. Maybe it's because the practices I preach are not liked by the 20s, but are okay with the 30+'s.
It's simple - the board will collapse if the 20somethings run amok on it. The NISB boards have a certain amount of respect and class - which is something the younger generation just doesn't seem to understand. There actually are quite a bit of young people who get it.
I do not think respect and class are hard things to abide by or understand. If people have a problem with it, chances are they want to say something that's untrue and possibly demeaning. Some people don't want to abide by these standards because they want their belief to be the truth, but they don't know reality. Some people want to make degrading comments for their own personal satisfaction and fun. They don't know that high school sports is a serious business.
